RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage fly to Colorado today as they prepare to take on the Ice on Saturday night. The Rage will be looking to snap their six-game losing streak as they play their third straight game on the road. The Rage (3-6) defeated the Ice (3-6) 42-35 at the Family Arena in St. Charles in the first week of the season. RiverCity scored the game's final 14 points as they came from behind to beat Colorado.

However, each team has a new look since that initial game as both clubs have made many changes to their rosters. The Rage will go into the game with a new quarterback and running back since their first meeting, as will Colorado. RiverCity's Anthony Fisher is still on the mend from a foot injury and will once again be replaced at quarterback by the tandem of PeeJay Jack and Chris Coffin. While The Ice will start Ryan Clement at quarterback over Steve Cutlip, who threw for 144 yards in the first meeting but did have three passes picked off.

"They have made a lot of changes to their roster," said Rage Head Coach Ken Stills. "Clement is a strong pocket passer. He won't move around very much but if he gets protection he can really light it up. That will be one of our challenges this week. We need to disrupt his timing and bring pressure into the backfield."

Clement has played in four games for the Ice this season. The team has game 2-2 in those contests and Clement has put up some great numbers. His 100.56 passer rating would rank second in the league if he had enough games to qualify. Running back Cody Wood has started the previous four games for Colorado as well, in the place of Eugene Reed, though Coach Stills hasn't seen much running from the Ice as of late.

"Since they have had Clement at quarterback they have pretty much stayed away from the run," added Stills. "We will see a lot of four-wide sets from them Saturday. They will run a little just to try to keep us honest. But they will be trying to spread the ball around with the pass more than anything else. I'm looking forward to a great game this weekend. We just need to get a victory under our belts to remember what it feels like. I think if e can do that we should start rolling again."

The Rage will play one more game on the road, at Wichita next weekend, before returning home to take on the Bloomington Extreme at the Family Arena on Saturday, May 31st. Great seats remain for that night's game with prices starting at just $5. For tickets call the Rage office at 636.896.4285 or visit ragefootball.com toady.
