SCOUTING THE MARKSMEN:

The Marksmen have struggled all season to earn victories, but it has been even tougher sledding over the past couple of months. The team has won just two of their last 22 contests, and after snapping their 12-game losing streak on March 16, they have now lost five straight games. Fayetteville struggles to get on the scoreboard, as they rank 10th in goals for per game at 2.62. They also rank last in goals against per game, as they allow 4.60 goals per game. Their special teams are also near the bottom of the league, as they rank eighth in power play percentage at 15.8% and 10th in penalty kill percentage at 76.7%. Despite the team's struggles, Jake Hauswirth continues to be one of the best players in the league, as he has 25 goals, 38 assists and 63 points in 52 games this season.

CENTURY MARK:

John Siemer played his 100th career SPHL game last night in Fayetteville - all for the Mayhem. Over his first 100 SPHL games, Siemer has 34 goals, 59 assists and 93 points - including 17 goals, 31 assists and 48 points in 52 games this season. He has been on fire, tallying six goals, 12 assists and 18 points over his last 16 games.

FINISH THE JOB:

The Mayhem have feasted on the Fayetteville Marksmen all season, as they are 8-0-1 in nine contests against them.

In the nine games, the Mayhem have scored 51 goals (5.67 per game) and allowed just 20 goals (2.22 per game). Their last defeat against Fayetteville came on the road in overtime on November 17th .

GOAL-SCORING GROOVE:

After scoring just one goal from November 16th through March 9th, captain Daniel Gentzler has found his scoring touch once again. After scoring a goal against Fayetteville last night, he now has six goals in his last seven games and 10 goals overall on the season.

BACK IN ACTION:

The Mayhem finish out the regular season next weekend with a three-in-three starting on Thursday. They host the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Thursday, hit the road to play Birmingham on Saturday, and finish the weekend at home against Evansville on Saturday.
