
Mayhem Add Collegiate Forward to Strong Offensive Lineup

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced Wednesday the signing on forward Ian Ecklund to a contract. To make room for Ecklund on the 19-man roster, the team has placed defenseman Craig Skudalski on waivers.
Ecklund, 24, brings size to the Mayhem's forward group, as he stands at 6-foot-4, 181 pounds. The University of Wisconsin-Superior product will be making his professional hockey debut after finishing his senior season at the NCAA Division III level. The Proctor, MN native had 17 goals, nine assists and 26 points in 27 games for the Yellowjackets this season, and in four seasons, he recorded 36 goals, 50 assists and 86 points in 97 games. Ecklund was teammates with Mayhem defenseman Eric Shand, who is currently on loan to the Atlanta Gladiators, for three seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Skudalski, 22, played eight games for the Mayhem after being signed on January 30th. In eight games, Skudalski recorded three assists and an even plus-minus rating.
