
Maxim Kitsyn, Scott Sabourin and Matt Leitner Headed to Ontario

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that forwards Maxim Kitsyn and Scott Sabourin have been recalled by the Ontario Reign and Matt Leitner has been loaned to the Reign.
Kitsyn, 24, played in 54 games with the Monarchs this season, scoring 45 points on 23 goals and 22 assists, leaving the Monarchs on a 13-game point streak (8g, 8a) dating back to Jan. 24.
The 6-foot-3, 207-pound forward from Novokuznetsk, Russia has played in 144 ECHL games in his career, scoring 118 points on 63 goals and 55 assists while adding a +65 rating and 233 penalty minutes. Kitsyn won a Gold Medal in the 2010-11 U-20 World Junior Championships with Team Russia, and was a 6th round draft pick (158th overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Sabourin, 23, played in three games for the Monarchs this season after being loaned by the Reign on Feb. 20. The 6-foot-3, 203-pound forward has played in 26 games in Ontario this season, scoring five points on three goals and two assists, adding 52 penalty minutes.
The Orleans, ON native has played in parts of four seasons in the AHL, playing in 151 total games, scoring 43 points on 20 goals and 23 assists while earning 309 penalty minutes. Sabourin was also a member of the 2014-15 Manchester Monarchs Calder Cup winning team.
Leitner, 25, played in 51 games with the Monarchs this season, scoring 49 points on 12 goals and 37 assists. The center leaves the Monarchs second in scoring amongst ECHL rookies and first in assists.
The Los Alamitos, Calif. native played in 149 games collegiately at Minnesota State University-Mankato, scoring 162 points on 49 goals and 113 assists while on campus. After the 2014-15 season, Leitner was named to the NCAA (West) First All-American Team.
The Monarchs are back in action Friday, Feb. 26 (7:30 p.m.) when they visit the Norfolk Admirals from Scope Arena in Virginia.
