Kansas City Mavericks News Release
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks, in conjunction with the Arizona Sundogs, announced Tuesday the rights to forward David Nimmo have been traded to the Sundogs in exchange for future considerations for the upcoming 2011-12 Central Hockey League (CHL) season.
Last season Nimmo recorded 42 points in 56 games for the Allen Americans with 16 goals and 26 assists. Nimmo was sent to the Mavericks to complete a trade from the 2010-11 season.
"We are very happy with the form our roster is taking, therefore we have decided this was the best move at this time," said Mavericks' Head Coach Scott Hillman.
The Mavericks will make two more announcements this week regarding player transactions.
The Missouri Mavericks will begin their third season in the Central Hockey League in October, and the home opener will be Saturday, November 5 against the Wichita Thunder at Independence Events Center. The Mavericks play their home games at the state-of-the-art Independence Events Center where parking is always free. Call (816) 252-7825 for more information or visit www.MissouriMavericks.com .
