Sundogs Acquire Nimmo from Missouri

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs announced today, in conjunction with the Missouri Mavericks, that the rights to forward David Nimmo have been traded to the Sundogs in exchange for future considerations for the upcoming 2011-12 Central Hockey League season.
Last season Nimmo recorded 42 points in 56 games for the Allen Americans with 16 goals and 26 assists. Nimmo was sent to Missouri earlier this offseason.
The 29-year-old is a former CHL Rookie of the Year after scoring 84 points (41 goals, 43 assists) in 64 games for the Amarillo Gorillas in 2007-08. He followed up his rookie campaign with stints in the ECHL and overseas in England during 2008-09 scoring 39 points in 65 total games.
In 2009-10 the St. Albert, Alberta native returned to Amarillo to put together a 51-point season in 53 contests - 29 goals, 22 assists.
Nimmo is a graduate of the University of Alabama-Huntsville, and capped off a four-year career averaging a point per game in his senior season with 14 goals and 22 assists in 36 games.
