NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (August 15)- In conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL), the Texas Brahmas, have released their complete regular season schedule for the 2011-12 campaign.
The Brahmas will open their fourteenth season with a three game homestand beginning when they host the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday, October 22. The Brahmas will be contending in the Southern Conference for a fourth straight season and will be hosting several rivalries; including the Metroplex rivalry against Allen which will occur six times at NYTEX.
Game start times at home will emulate that of last season, as the puck will drop at 7 PM on Monday-Thursday dates, 7:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 4 PM faceoffs on Sunday games.
The 66-game schedule features 28 home weekend dates (11 Friday, 11 Saturday and 6 Sunday games). The Brahmas will also include several new promotions for the upcoming campaign, including a "Pink in the Rink" game and backpack night. A promotional schedule will be released in the near future.
The Brahmas longest homestand is a six game span in late February that runs to March 10. The longest road trip will be a six game period following the Christmas break, from December 30-January 14; the road trip includes Wichita, Missouri, Arizona and Rio Grande Valley.
Texas Brahmas General Manager Mike Barack is excited about the team's fourteenth season and believes the long awaited schedule will be pleasing to Brahmas' fans.
"Thanks to our move to North Richland Hills, our flexibility at NYTEX and better CHL geographic scheduling, we are able to have a tremendous number of weekend home dates for our fans," said Barack.
