Mallards Make Splash with Mo's Madhouse, Drake Club, Nest

Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. (August 16, 2011) - The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today introduced three revamped areas from which fans will be able to experience the fun and entertainment of Mallards hockey at the i wireless Center in 2011-12: Mo's Madhouse, the Drake Club and the Nest.

"The atmosphere at Mallard games is a very important component of our organization," said Jon Pritchett, CEO of CLUB 9 SPORTS, the new owners of the Mallards. "We want to attract as many different people as possible to our games and that requires that we expand the offerings for how our fans like to experience the game. Some want a wild and crazy time, some want a family atmosphere, some want a corporate experience, some want a group outing and some may want different things at different times. We think Mo's Madhouse can be one of the most distinctive and exciting areas in all of minor league sports and can give us a real advantage at home."

Mo's Madhouse, named for mascot Mo Mallard, is the area behind the west goal at the i wireless Center and will be the home to the Mallards' loudest, most intense fans. Mo himself will add to the lively- to say the least- atmosphere by making the Madhouse his home base during Mallards home games. The Madhouse will naturally draw those Mallards fans most willing to enthusiastically show their love for the Mallards and their disdain for the opposition. The Madhouse will be available on a first-come-first-served basis for both group booking and individual tickets.

The Drake Club is an exclusive game-night experience available to Mallard season ticket holders. The Drake Club will be located in the patio area at the west end of the i wireless Center adjacent to section 117 and will provide a superb view of all the action. Drake Club members will enjoy a members-only bar, in-game visits from Mallards players, specialized decor and access to post-game press conferences. "It is our version of a private club for Mallard season ticket holders who deserve to be able to receive the highest level of our offerings before these are made available to the public at large," remarked Pritchett. "It is our expectation that all of the memberships will be purchased by season ticket holders and no one else will be able to join this private club. We'd love a waiting list for the Drake Club."

The Nest will be the perfect place to hold group events of any sort, including office outings, parties and family gatherings. Available for groups of 30 to 50 and nestled in the patio area adjacent to section 101 near the west goal, the Nest is a prime viewing area that provides an opportunity to enjoy an evening full of entertainment in the company of friends, co-workers, family or schoolmates.
