Mavericks' Goaltender O'Brien Called up to AHL Chicago

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks announced Saturday morning the Mavericks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, have recalled goaltender BJ O'Brien on an emergency basis. O'Brien made his debut for the Mavericks Friday night in Illinois against the Bloomington Blaze, and stopped 36 of 37 shots in Missouri's 4-1 victory. It is not yet known when O'Brien will return to the Mavs' roster.

The Mavs take on the Tulsa Oilers tonight at Independence Events Center. Goaltender Charlie Effinger is scheduled to start for the Mavericks. Faceoff is 7:05 p.m., and limited tickets remain for tonight's game.

Missouri Mavericks 2012-13 season tickets are now on sale. A $50 dollar non-refundable deposit is required for all season tickets.
