The Mavericks are facing the Oilers tonight for the 10th of 11 meetings between the clubs this season. It's the fourth of five between Missouri and Tulsa at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena where the Mavericks are 1-1-1 in the series. Tulsa has not visited Independence since December 19 - a game that the Oilers won 3-2 behind a pair of Emerson Clark goals. The Mavericks have won three straight against Tulsa by a combined 11-4 score, but have not downed the Oilers on home ice since their 10-3 blowout win on November 5. Tulsa's other victory here was a 3-2 shootout win on Dec. 10. The Oilers and Mavericks are both in the final game of their respective weekend three-in-threes.
ONE-TIMER
Kevin Tansey is riding a five-game point streak (5g, 2a) and has two multi-point games in that span. His first pro two-goal game on Feb. 24 broke a nine-game point drought - his longest of the season.
