
Maunu Returns to Toledo; Berry Off to Dayton

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have traded rookie forward Mike Berry to the Dayton Bombers for financial considerations. In a separate move, defenseman Mitch Maunu was reassigned to Toledo from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Maunu, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native, has appeared in 9 games with the Admirals this season and has not collected a point, with 8 penalty minutes. While in Toledo, meanwhile, Maunu has played in 10 games registering 2 assists and has accumulated 22 penalty minutes.
Berry, the native of Kanata, Ontario, appeared in 20 games for the Storm this season, scoring 3 goals and adding 6 assists. The rookie forward also recorded 16 PIM during his time with Toledo. A year ago, Berry played in 72 games with the Adirondack Frostbite of the United Hockey League where he collected 53 points (27 G, 26 A).
The Storm will be back on the home ice THIS Saturday, December 16th at 7:35pm when they will welcome the Reading Royals back to One Main Street.
