
Matt Page Wins Game Two Nights in a Row

HAGERSTOWN, MD Hagerstown Suns outfielder Matt Page has won the game in back to back nights.
Page came up in a familiar spot in the bottom of the ninth inning in game 3 of the Suns (15-5) 4 game series against the Hickory Crawdads (11-6).
With the basses loaded, he came through with a single down the right field line past a diving Dylan Moore to score Edwin Lora and give the Suns a 7-6 walk off victory.
The starting pitcher for the Suns, Andrew Lee had control of the Crawdad hitters early. He went 1,2,3 through the first 4 innings, only allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
The Suns got ahead of Crawdads pitcher Wes Benjamin early. Victory Robles got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning when he scored after his lead off double. In the bottom of the 3rd, Matt Page came to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd base. He then hit a 2 RBI double to bring the score to 4-0.
The Suns then lost their 4 run lead after Andrew Lee gave up 2 runs in the top of the 5th inning and Mariano Rivera III gave up 3 runs after he came in in relief of Lee in the top of the 7th inning making it 5-3.
The Suns used their bats to get back into the game and rally behind Rivera. It all started with an Austin Davidson base hit to lead off the 7th inning. He later scored on a Max Schrock SAC fly.
Rivera held the score at 5-5 and the Suns were looking at the bottom of their line up in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Edwin Lora started things off with a lead off double. He then scored on a 1 out RBI single by Victor Robles. Robles stole 2nd base then reached third on a Max Schrock fielders choice ground ball to the pitcher. Next up was Kelvin Gutierrez who knocked his third hit of the night for a single to load the bases. Than Matt Page came up to do what he has been doing best as of late.
Mariano Rivera III received the win tonight for the Suns which extended his record to 2-0.
The Suns are sending out RHP Pedro Avila (0-0, 9.00) to face RHP Peter Fairbanks (1-1), 9.00) in game four of their four game series against the Hickory Crawdads. First pitch is scheduled at Municipal Stadium at 2:05pm with gates opening at 1:35pm.
