
Rome Falls to Asheville 2-1

Rome, GA - The Asheville Tourists took game three of a four game series with the Rome Braves Saturday night by a final score of 2-1 before a crowd of 4,048.
Asheville led the whole game and started with one run in the third. Carlos Herrera bunted for a single down the third base line and advanced to second on an Austin Riley throwing error. Brendan Rodgers then singled to right scoring Herrera making the score 1-0. The Tourists added another run in the sixth inning when Yonathan Daza walked and later scored on Sam Hilliard's triple. The Braves would score their only run on a Jonathan Morales (3) solo homer to left field but Asheville held on for the 2-1 win.
Parker French (2-1) picks up the win for Asheville and Rome starter Mike Soroka (0-2) is hit with the loss. Soroka went five innings not allowing an earned run and giving up five hits while striking out five.
