Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Over a month since he suited up for the Albuquerque Isotopes for two games over Memorial Day weekend, Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Matt Kemp will return to the Duke City this weekend for another Major League Rehabilitation Assignment. Kemp is scheduled to appear for the "˜Topes both tomorrow and Sunday as he works his way back from a strained left hamstring.

In his first appearance with the Isotopes while recovering from the same injury that originally landed him on the Disabled List on May 14, Kemp put on a show for "˜Topes fans, blasting homers in back-to-back games while going a total 5-for-7 (.714) with four runs scored, a double, and five RBI. After appearing in just two games with L.A., Kemp re-aggravated his left hamstring strain running the bases in a game against Milwaukee on May 30 and was placed on the DL for a second time the next day.

In 36 games for the Dodgers this season, Kemp, who was elected to his second consecutive National League All-Star Team, is batting .355 (43x121) with 30 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, 12 homers, and 28 RBI.

The Isotopes huge 12-game homestand wraps up with a Memorial Day Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Wells Fargo that includes a camo jersey auction and back-to-back fireworks shows. The fun kicks off tomorrow night with a tin lunch box giveaway courtesy of U.S. Bank. Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
