
Matt Devins Placed on Hudson Valley Roster

Southwest Michigan Devil Rays News Release
Battle Creek, MI-The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays announce that third baseman Matt Devins has been placed on the Hudson Valley Renegades roster. Hudson Valley is the short season Class A New York-Penn League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Devins played 36 games for the Devil Rays this season and was batting .163 with 7 RBIs.
Taking Devins place on the roster is Eric Durante. Durante is being moved up from extended spring training in St. Petersburg. He was the Rays' 17th pick in the 2005 draft and played last year in Hudson Valley. When Durante was with the Renegades he batted .251 with 3 home runs and 17 RBIs in 51 games played.
