Lansing Lugnuts News Release

Battle Creek, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts were scheduled to play their final regular season game ever at C.O. Brown Stadium on Tuesday night, but the game was postponed due to rain. The Lugnuts and Southwest Michigan Devil Rays will play a doubleheader at Oldsmobile Park in Lansing on Wednesday night beginning at 6:05 p.m. Gates will open at 5:50 p.m. for the twin bill.

This marks the fifth time this season that the Lugnuts have had a game either postponed or cancelled due to rain. Lansing came into Tuesday riding a six game winning streak and led the Eastern Division by one-half game over the West Michigan Whitecaps.

Billy Carnline was scheduled to face Mike Wlodarczyk on Tuesday in a highly anticipated pitching matchup before the game was called due to rain.
