Tacoma Defiance on Wednesday continues its 2021 USL Championship campaign with the final match of a three-game road stretch. This marks the lone scheduled meeting of the season between Defiance and Switchbacks FC.
Tacoma fell 3-0 at Phoenix Rising FC in triple digit heat on Saturday evening, suffering its second consecutive loss after a 2-0 defeat at Las Vegas Lights FC on June 5. Prior to that, Tacoma earned a pair of home wins last month at Cheney Stadium, capping a three-match unbeaten run to start the season. On May 13, Defiance emerged victorious in a 3-1 result over San Diego Loyal SC before recording its first shutout of the season on May 16, defeating Orange County SC 1-0. Defiance opened the season on May 9 with a 1-1 road draw against LA Galaxy II.
Wade Webber's side returns home next Wednesday, June 23 to host Real Monarchs (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
