FC Tulsa News Release

TULSA - Sometimes all you need is a little taste of home.

After 46 days away from ONEOK Field, FC Tulsa will finally play its second home regular season match in Week 9 of the USL Championship regular season against Sporting Kansas City II. The club is the only team in the league to have played at least six matches this year with just one at home.

FC Tulsa has made a fortress of ONEOK Field, only losing once at home in the new era of the franchise and going unbeaten in each of its last six matches, including a four-match win streak, dating back to August 29 of the 2020 season.

ABOUT SPORTING KANSAS CITY II

This will already be the third meeting between FC Tulsa and Sporting Kansas City II in Tulsa's first seven matches this season. The teams have split the previous two matches with each winning at home. FC Tulsa took the first matchup 2-0 at ONEOK while Kansas City won at Children's Mercy Park 4-1.

Sporting KC II fielded very different lineups for the two matches, with a more USL-focused lineup in match one and a MLS-heavy roster for the second. It remains to be seen what roster Sporting KC II will send on Wednesday night to Tulsa.

TEAMS WELL RESTED

Both FC Tulsa and Sporting Kansas City II should be healthy and well-rested for the match on Wednesday. The two sides have each just played one match since the sides last met on June 2. FC Tulsa's sandwiched match was last Sunday on June 6 against Birmingham Legion FC while Sporting Kansas City II played last Wednesday against Atlanta United 2.

MAINTAINING HOME STREAKS

FC Tulsa has built a fortress out of ONEOK Field. The club hasn't lost a home match since the last time Sporting KC II visited on August 29, 2020. That streak is a six-match unbeaten streak with FC Tulsa wins in the last four matches. It's the longest home unbeaten streak in franchise history.

JOAQUIN ADVANCES

FC Tulsa forward Joaquin Rivas has helped El Salvador come to the brink of the final round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Rivas and El Salvador are playing a two-leg playoff with Saint Kitts and Nevis to be one of the final eight countries vying for CONCACAF's four possible World Cup spots. In the first leg of the playoff, Rivas tallied an assist in a 4-0 victory for La Selecta as the country is a 3-goal defeat or better tonight away from the final round of qualifying.

THIRD JERSEY

FC Tulsa just released a third jersey named the "Mural Kit" which will make its on-pitch debut this Saturday against Louisville City FC. The kit is inspired by the club's Mural Project at Monroe Demonstration Academy in North Tulsa, an under-resourced area. Represented on the kit are portions of each of the four murals, painted on the walls of Monroe, bringing to life the four core values of the students: Empowerment, Responsibility, Community and Excellence.

FC TULSA BEER

On Tuesday, the club announced a co-branded beer with local brewery, Cabin Boys. The beer is a cerveza-style lager and will be available on Wednesday and Saturday night for fans to purchase at ONEOK Field. Fans will help the club decide on a name for the beer by submitting a name through the club's website or the official FC Tulsa App.

HOW TO TUNE IN

The match will be broadcast on TV locally on My41 Tulsa and nationally on ESPN+. Fans around the world can watch for free on YouTube. Follow @FCTulsa on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for updates and highlights throughout the match.
