ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Saturday as it hosts Seattle Sounders FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match, presented by Global Payments, is set to kick-off at 3 p.m. EST and will be nationally broadcast on ABC/ESPN Deportes.

Atlanta holds an all-time record of 0-1-3 against Seattle: 0-0-1 at home and 0-1-2 on the road in the series. In the last meeting on May 23, 2021, the two clubs played to a 1-1 draw at Lumen Field.
Gonzalo Pineda will face his former club for the first time. Pineda won U.S. Open Cup and Supporters' Shield titles as a player with Seattle in 2014. He later served as an assistant coach for four and a half seasons (Jan. 2017- Aug. 2021), helping guide the club to three MLS Cup appearances and the MLS Cup title in 2019.
Josef Martínez has scored in each of Atlanta's last three matches against Seattle.
Thiago Almada leads MLS in dribble success rate (min. 40 dribbles) at 70.37%, in addition to leading the team with 43 chances created.
Seattle is coming off a 1-0 home win against FC Dallas on Tuesday, moving above the playoff line in the Western Conference and into sixth place with 32 points. Seattle is 3-7-1 on the road this season.
