Match Preview: Atlanta United vs. Columbus Crew SC

ATLANTA (Feb. 16, 2018) - Atlanta United returns to preseason action Saturday, Feb. 17 against Columbus Crew SC in the first of the team's three matches at the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, South Carolina. Kickoff from MUSC Health Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS.

In its preseason opener on Feb. 10, Atlanta defeated Nashville SC 3-1 at First Tennessee Park in Nashville. Forwards Josef Martinez, Brandon Vazquez and Romario Williams each scored for Atlanta to lead the club past USL side Nashville, which was playing in its inaugural match. Darlington Nagbe added an assist in his first appearance for the club.

Columbus defeated Japanese side Iwaki FC 5-3 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Feb. 10 in the team's final match in the Pacific Rim Cup. Gyasi Zardes, Federico Higuain, Lalas Abubakar, Edward Opoku and Luis Argudo all tallied goals for Columbus.
