(OTTAWA) July 23, 2008 - For the second time this season, veteran catcher Kyle Geiger is voted the Ottawa Rapidz Fan Favourite, after another very productive week.
Geiger did his best to help his team win over the last six games, collecting eight hits in 21 at-bats for a .381 batting average. Two of his hits were doubles and he also added one home run for a .619 slugging percentage. He drove in three runs and scored as many himself.
For the season Geiger has put solid numbers together, hitting for .303, with 31 runs scored, 63 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 29 runs batted in.
Rapidz fans can vote for their favourite Player at any Rapidz home game. All ballots are entered into a weekly contest to win a Suite Night with the Rapidz for 12!
The Rapidz will host the New Jersey Jackals for a three-game series, starting Friday, July 25 at 7:05pm.
