Mascots And Dance Teams To Hit The Town This Weekend

(Rochester, NY)... The mascots and dance teams of the Rochester Americans and Knighthawks will hit the town on Saturday, October 17th in support of Rochester's annual "ZooBoo" fall festival and the "Celebrity Scoop-Off" at Eastview Mall.

The fun-filled day begins at Seneca Park Zoo (2222 St. Paul St.) where the Amerks' mascot, The Moose, along with R. Thunder of the Knighthawks will partake in "ZooBoo" from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The pair of furry friends will help kickoff the Halloween season early as they interact kids of all ages, go trick-or-treating around the Zoo, carve pumpkins and even participate in a Halloween costume contest.

From there, the mascots, in addition to the American Spirit and Knightingales dance teams, will head to Eastview Mall from 1:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to take part in the "Celebrity Scoop-Off." The charitable event will honor the re-opening of Maggie Moo's Ice Cream parlor in the Mall. The group will work as a team and compete against other groups to get patrons and customers to buy ice cream from them. The team will scoop ice cream with all proceeds raised benefiting the Wilmot Cancer Center. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to meet the dance teams and mascots, get autographs and pose for photos with the group.
