Marthas Vineyard Sharks Take out the Torrington Titans

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (6-4) beat the Torrington Titans (5-7) 8-6 on Tuesday at Fuessenich Park behind Brendan Cox, who went 2-4.

He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Kyle Brenner had an impressive outing against the Torrington Titans' lineup. The Torrington Titans managed just two hits off of Brenner, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

RJ Going reached base three times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.

Kevin Connolly brought the heat against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks during his outing. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of the the Torrington Titans' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

William Montgomerie recorded his first win of the year for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Brett Susi was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
