The season opener for the Marlies tonight will be on www.fan590.com at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Binghamton Senators - AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators - at Ricoh Coliseum. The first radio broadcast will air Sunday afternoon October 12th at 5:00 p.m. when the Marlies travel to Cleveland, OH to take on the Lake Erie Monsters - AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche - at Quicken Loans Arena.
"We're excited to extend our partnership with the Fan 590 to include the Toronto Marlies for both radio and web broadcasts," said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. "The Fan 590's promotional abilities will bring the Marlies broadcasts to many more hockey fans across the GTA through different media vehicles."
John Bartlett will return for his fourth season as the voice of the Marlies. In the booth with Bartlett is former Maple Leafs defenceman Bob McGill. Bartlett was named the 2007 winner of the James H.
