Marlies Take Their Show On The Road For Community Practice

The Toronto Marlies travel to Bradford, Ontario to take part in the first of a series of community practices in an effort to connect with minor hockey teams throughout the GTA. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21 at the Bob Fallis Arena with the Marlies taking to the ice at 6:00 p.m.

A number of teams from the Bradford West Gwillimbury Minor Hockey Association will watch as coaches Dallas Eakins, Gord Dineen, and Derek King lead the Marlies through a practice. With 15 minutes remaining in the session, one team will take to the ice and join the entire Marlies team in interactive and challenging drills aimed at helping young players improve their skills.

After the practice the Marlies will be holding a team autograph signing session, as well as a barbeque and other outdoor activities. The event is partnered with the Helping Hand Food Bank in an effort to jumpstart their holiday food drive.

The Marlies return to Ricoh Coliseum for a two-game home stand on Friday October 30 against the Adirondack Phantoms, AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers (7:00 p.m.) and Sunday, November 1 (4:00 p.m.) against the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
