
Marinez Hits First Professional Home Run, Snappers Lose 8-2 To Kernels

BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers (16-16) never led during their 8-2 loss to the Cedar Rapids Kernels (14-18). The offensive highlight of the night for the Snappers was Ynmanol Marinez's first home run of his professional career in the third inning.
Spencer Steer led off the game for Cedar Rapids with a solo home run. The Kernels hit four home runs, including two by Steer to win 8-2.
Beloit scored a pair of runs with a Marinez home run and an RBI groundout from Griffin Conine.
Beloit's Top Performers: Conine drove in a run. Connor Scott went 2-for-4 with a run. Marinez hit his first career home run.
Upcoming Promotions: Thursday is Thirsty Thursday - two-for-one Busch Light all night long. Saturday is Saturday Night Fireworks - postgame fireworks. Sunday is Family Funday. That means two-for-one select seltzers (White Claw - Mango and Black Cherry, Vizzy and Truly).
