Evansville Otters News Release
The Evansville Otters announced the signings of two pitchers by Major League Baseball yesterday as left-hander Donny Langdon and RHP Justin Jordan were signed by the Seattle Mariners.
Both pitchers are expected to be assigned to the Midwest League's (A) Wisconsin TimberRattlers.
Langdon had been brilliant for the Otters this season. In eight appearances, he had gone 13 innings allowing just two hits, walking six and striking out 18. He did not allow a hit to a left-handed batter this season.
Jordan pitched in one game for the Otters this season after coming to Evansville from Belmont University. In his one outing, Jordan allowed one hit, walked none and struck out four in two innings against Rockford on Wednesday night.
The Evansville Otters continue their six-game roadtrip in Kalamazoo on Friday night. Andre Simpson will start for Evansville against Jonathon Guttierez for the Kings. The game will start at 5:35 p.m. CST and can be heard on 91.5, WUEV.
