Evansville Otters News Release
Ricky Clinton homered to lead off the top of the 11th inning lifting the Evansville Otters to a 3-2 win over the Kalamazoo Kings in 11 innings.
Evansville took a 2-0 lead in the second inning a single by Frank Scott and a fielder's choice by Denver Stuckey.
The Kings battled back with one in the third. Kalamazoo tied it in the eighth on a suicide squeeze off the bat off Adam Leavitt.
That set up Clinton's heroics in the 11th when he led off the inning with a homer off the Kings' Justin Keeling.
Ryan Burnau (1-1) got the win for Evansville. Keeling (0-1) took the loss for Kalamazoo.
Games two of the series is Saturday night. Chris Pillsbury (2-2) will go for Evansville against Chad Clark (0-2) for the Kings. The game can be heard on 91.5 WUEV. Saturday's game starts at 5:35 p.m.
