In front of 13,553 fans, some of whom were lined up as early as 2:00 p.m., the Mariachis de Nuevo México (59-67) defeated the Dorados de Sacramento (50-76) by a score of 7-1 on Sunday evening. When playing as the Mariachis, the Isotopes finished the season 4-1 (3-1 at home).

Jeff Hoffman recorded one of the best outings by an Albuquerque starter in 2018. The right-hander allowed one run over 8.0 innings on the mound, striking out five and walking two. The 8.0 innings are the most thrown by an Isotopes pitcher this season and a career-high for Hoffman

Offensively, every Mariachi batter that came to plate recorded a hit on the evening. Pat Valaika, Josh Fuentes, Noel Cuevas and Stephen Cardullo each came through with two hits during the contest.

Valaika and Cardullo each connected on solo home runs in the bottom of the fourth.

After Monday's league-wide off day, the Isotopes head to El Paso to open a three-game set with the Chihuahuas. First pitch from Southwest University Park on Tuesday is set for 6:35 p.m.
