Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba vs. Lake Erie - January 13

Goals:

- JC Lipon collects the puck on the scramble in front and wraps it around for a goal on Brad Thiessen at 19:48 of the first period.

- Chase De Leo takes a quick shot off a rebound out front to beat Thiessen while on the powerplay at 4:32 of the second period.

- De Leo scores his second of the period firing the puck after receiving the pass from Jan Kostalek 6:47 into the second.

- Nic Petan digs the puck out of the corner and passes it out front to Jiri Fronk who dekes the defender and goaltender on a backhanded shot at the 13:00 mark of the third.

Highlights/Notes:

- Eric Comrie earned his first career AHL shutout making 24 saves. It was Manitoba's second shutout this season and first at the MTS Centre. Connor Hellebuyck had the other shutout on Nov. 7 against Charlotte.

- Chase De Leo scored twice for his second multi-goal game of the season. He leads the Moose in goal scoring with 11 and is second in points with 20 in 35 games. He currently sits in a tie for 16th in AHL rookie scoring.

- JC Lipon recorded his third multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist. He also had a fighting major in the second period.

- The Moose earned their first victory against Lake Erie on the season. The Monsters had won the previous five meetings.

The Moose begin an eight game road trip when they travel to face the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 5 p.m. CT.
