Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that Military Appreciation Night jerseys and shorts, which will be worn by the team on February 16, have been placed in an online auction on eBay. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a military-related non-profit organization.
"This is a unique opportunity for fans to own a piece of history and to support our Armed Forces at the same time," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.
The jerseys of all players on Colorado's 23-man roster are now available for bidding in an auction that ends this Monday, January 21. Search keywords "Mammoth Military Appreciation" on eBay to view all items.
As an enhancement of last year's "ËI'm Playing For' campaign, the right and left chests of each jersey will be personalized to include the last name and branch of the military chosen by the winning bidder. Immediately following the Military Appreciation Night game, each winning bidder will participate in a "Jerseys Off Our Backs" on-field ceremony and receive the jersey and shorts they won. (Goalie jersey auctions exclude shorts.)
Each player's items also include a pair of lower-level tickets to the game.
