Wednesday, February 21st - Quad City 1 at Fort Wayne 3

The Fort Wayne Komets beat Quad City 3-1 on the strength of a three-goal outburst during a 47-second span in the opening period. Kevin St. Pierre made the trio of tallies stand up as he made 25 saves to earn his league-leading 32nd win of the season. Jason Tapp held the Komets scoreless through 17 minutes despite facing 16 shots during that stretch. At 17:09, Bruce Richardson broke through on a Komets power-play to begin an onslaught that featured three goals in 47 seconds for Fort Wayne. Scott Seney netted the second marker and J.C. Ruid added a third at 17:56 to give the Komets a 3-0 lead after one period. The 47-second three-goal outburst set a UHL Komets franchise record for quickest three goals. Zach Sikich relieved Tapp to begin the second period. Sikich stopped 13 shots in the second as the teams skated scoreless through the middle frame. The Mallards fought gamely in the third as they outshot the homestanding Komets 13-7. Unfortunately for Quad City fans, the only goal the Mallards could manage in the closing frame was Andrei Lupandin's eighth tally of the year on a Mallards power-play at 15:20 of the period.

Friday, February 23rd - Quad City 1 at Kalamazoo 3

The Mallards dropped a 3-1 decision to Kalamazoo on Friday night at Wings Stadium. The loss marks just the second time since December 1st that the Mallards have lost back-to-back games. The Wings took a 1-0 lead on a first period goal by Nick Bootland. The skilled forward netted his 32nd goal of the year after playing the puck to himself off the Mallards end wall. The tally tied Bootland with Don Parsons for third in UHL goal scoring. Justin Cross extended the lead to 2-0 when he one-timed an Adam Elzinga pass into the Mallards net. The Mallards broke through for their first goal of the period when Sergei Durdin scored on the power-play at 17:54 of the opening frame. Kalamazoo's Joe Markusen scored the only goal of the second period to open up a 3-1 Wings lead. The defenseman netted his fourth goal of the year following a drop pass from Kory Karlander. The teams skated scoreless through the third period as Wings netminder Tom Askey stopped 11 final frame shots to earn his 21st win of the season.

Saturday, February 24th - Chicago at Quad City - Game Postponed

Brad Thompson netted his 12th goal of the year with 1:39 elapsed in the period before Trevor Baker added a shorthanded tally to give Bloomington a 3-2 lead.
