Player Notes: Jeff Zehr scored his 20th goal of the season on Saturday night to be the first Generals player to the 20 goal mark this season...Zehr also leads the team with 11 power play goals...Terry Marchant is tied for 18th in the league with 47 points...Jordan Fox is 14th among rookies with 26 points...Gerard Miller is fourth among defensemen in scoring with 38 points, Shaun Fisher is tied for 12th with 26 points and Martin Ondrej is tied for 19th with 21 points.

Team Notes: With a shootout loss on Saturday, the Generals are 1-6 in shootouts this season...The Generals have been outscored 12-4 in shootouts this season...The Generals are 16-8-4 when scoring first...Flint has the second best power play in the league at 18.9%, and the best road power play at 20.0%.

GENERALS WEEK IN REVIEW February 19 - February 25

Friday, February 23 Muskegon 6 @ Flint 1

The Fury improved their record against the Generals to 4-0-0 in Flint this season with this win. Muskegon scored three first period goals, one on the power play, to take a 3-0 lead to the first intermission. The Fury added three more goals in the third period, one shorthanded, to lead 6-0 before the Generals were able to score. The only Flint goal was scored at 17:20 by Dave Frawley from Preston Cicchine and Jordan Fox. Bryan Worosz made 24 saves on 30 shots in the loss.

Saturday, February 24 Fort Wayne 4 @ Flint 3 SO

Mike Kinnie gave the Generals a 1-0 lead at 1:06 of the first period on a goal from Bobby Reynolds and Tyson Turgeon. The Komets tied the game 1-1 with a goal at 2:30. The Generals reclaimed the lead at 7:06 on a Jan Jas goal from Shawn Snider and Gerard Miller. Flint held its largest lead of the game at 3-1 when Jeff Zehr scored at 2:25 of the second period. Snider and Jas assisted on the Zehr goal. Fort Wayne came back to tie the game 3-3 with second period goals at 6:14 and 11:59. There was no scoring in the third period and the game went to a shootout. The Kpmets outscored the Generals 2-1 in the shootout for the 4-3 win. Bryan Worosz made 19 saves on 22 shots in the shootout loss.

PREVIEW OF UPCOMING GENERALS GAMES February 26 - March 4

Friday, March 2 Flint @ Elmira 7:35p.m.

This will be the final game of the regular season for the Generals in Elmira. The Generals are 2-2-1 in Elmira this season, 4-5-1 overall. The Generals have outscored the Jackals 37-35 in the first ten games played against each other.

Saturday, March 3 Elmira @ Flint 7:30p.m.

The Generals host the Jackals for the sixth time this season. The Generals are 2-3-0 against the Jackals in Flint this season. The Jackals will return to Flint once more after this game.

Sunday, March 4 Chicago @ Flint 4:00p.m.

The Hounds travel to Flint for the second and final time during the regular season. The Hounds beat the Generals 5-0 in the first game in Flint. The Generals are 2-2-0 against Chicago this season, 0-1-0 at home. The Generals have won the last two games played against Chicago.

Generals Player of the Week:

The Generals Player of the Week is Jan Jas. Jas had two points on one goal and one assist in two games played. Both points were against Fort Wayne on Saturday. He was also even for +/-.

Generals Goaltender of the Week:

The Generals Goaltender of the Week is Bryan Worosz. Worosz went 0-1-1 last week in two games played. He made 43 saves on 52 shots for a .827 save percentage and had a goals against average of 4.50.
