Delmarva Shorebirds News Release
Charleston, WV- The Shorebirds jumped ahead 8-0 but surrendered a dozen unanswered runs and West Virginia took game one of this four game series 12-8. Delmarva starter Zach Britton was superb, allowing just one run on two hits in six innings, but the bullpen blew the big lead and West Virginia ran away from the Birds with a nine run seventh inning.
The two teams reunite on Sunday night at 5:05.
