Intimidators Open Homestand With 8-3 Win Over Suns

Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators (18-21) began an eight-game homestand with a 8-3 win over the Hagerstown Suns (19-23) at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

The Intimidators received six great inning from Johnnie Lowe (4-6) for the win. Lowe gave up three runs (one earned) on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts. Charlis Burdie picked up the save (his first) throwing the final three innings without giving up a run.

Offensively, Kannapolis scored three runs in the first inning highlighted with a two-run triple from Christian Marrero. In the second frame, Sergio Miranda delivered a RBI single for a 4-1 lead. In the third, Marrero delivered a one out solo home run and John Curtis brought in the Intimidators sixth run on a single to score Sergio Morales.

Kannapolis added runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

The Intimidators continue the homestand tomorrow night versus Hagerstown. Coverage starts at intimidatorsbaseball.com with Dan Bumpus at 4:50pm for a 5:05pm first pitch.
