LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday that 19-year-old forward Scott Mahovlich has returned home to be with family after a family emergency.
"Scott has returned home to be with family for however length of time that he requires," said Hurricanes General Manager Peter Anholt. "He will rejoin our hockey club when he feels ready."
The Hurricanes have no further information regarding the emergency, nor will the team have any further comment.
The Hurricanes organizations thoughts are with the Mahovlich's.
The Mahovlich family asks for privacy during this time.
