The Lakeland Magic defeated the Iowa Wolves in Des Moines, 133-121 in the final game of the season on Saturday night.
After a four-way tiebreaker, Lakeland ended the season in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and missed the playoffs.
Jay Scrubb led the Magic with a team-high 24 points off the bench, while Zavier Simpson tallied 20 points and 15 assists. Au'Diese Toney and Robert Baker II also added 20 points each. Luka Garza led the Wolves with a double-double, collecting 47 points and 15 rebounds. Matt Ryan had 17 points and nine assists.
In the second quarter, the Magic outscored the Wolves, 44-29. Scrubb netted 20 points in the quarter, shooting 8-11 from the field. The Magic bench outscored the Wolves, 62-24.
The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, finished the season with a record of 18-14.
