Magic Acquire Isaiah Armwood

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, have acquired forward Isaiah Armwood. In a corresponding roster move, Lakeland has waived J.D Tisdale and Cameron Lard.

Armwood (6-9, 215) spent the 2018-19 season with the Capital City Go-Go before heading overseas for the beginning of the 2019-20 season. He played in 36 games for the Go-Go, averaging 8.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Armwood played the first two seasons (2009-2011) of his collegiate career with Villanova before transferring to George Washington (2012-2014) where he averaged 12.7 points shooting 49% from the field in 32 minutes of play.

Tisdale (6-5, 190) participated in 2019 local tryouts and joined the Lakeland Magic after securing a roster spot following training camp. During his time with the Magic, Tisdale averaged 4.3 points while shooting 45.5% from the field in 16.8 minutes of play.

Lard (6-9, 244) played in 2 games for Lakeland this season and averaged 3.0 points while shooting 40% from the field. Prior to Lakeland, Lard played for Iowa State for two seasons. During his sophomore year, he played in 24 games, averaging 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. Lard signed a deal to play in the NBA Summer League with the Orlando Magic. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft making him an unrestricted free agent.

Isaiah Armwood will be active for Friday night's home game against the Westchester Knicks at the RP Funding Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
