Mad Ants Continue Winning Ways In Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Feb. 6 - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants used a balanced attack to defeat the Sioux Falls Skyforce 95-89 on Friday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Carl Elliott led six Fort Wayne players in double figures with a game-high 22 points as Fort Wayne picked up their third win in as many games in Sioux Falls this season.
Fort Wayne (11-15) trailed only twice in the early stages of the game and led by as many as 20 points in the third quarter. Sioux Falls (14-14) rallied in the fourth quarter and cut the lead to three points (92-89) with 22.8 seconds remaining but Russell Walker split two free throws, caused a turnover and iced the game with a lay up as the Skyforce dropped their fifth straight home game.
Elliott was joined in double figures by Chris Hunter (17), Walker Russell (16), Coleman Collins (13), Ron Howard (12) and Taj McCullough (11).
David Bailey posted a team-high 20 points while Glen McGowan and Kasib Powell chipped in with 15 apiece.
The Mad Ants play the Dakota Wizards in Bismarck tomorrow at 7 p.m. CT. The Skyforce travels to Tulsa to take on the 66ers on Sunday at 3 p.m. CT.
