New Mexico Thunderbirds News Release

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Thunderbirds improved to a 14-12 record with their win over the Los Angeles D-Fenders Saturday night, 107-97.

Albuquerque trailed at halftime, 49-38.

While dishing out 7 assists, T-birds' guard Will Conroy led both teams in scoring with 35 points. The NBA Development League Co-Player of the Month pulled the game within one by shooting back to back three's in the third.

With eleven and a half minutes left to play, T-birds' forward David Noel nailed a pair of free-throws to give his team a one point lead. A minute later, Conroy connected with Noel for an alley-oop and a four point lead.

Making his debut with the Thunderbirds last night was swingman Antoine Agudio. The New York product continued his off the bench contribution by adding 7 points and 2 assists.

Despite the 11 point deficit at half, Albuquerque rallied in second half, outscoring L.A. 69-48.

The T-birds will hit the road for the next 4 games, starting on February 20th, when Albuquerque plays the Tulsa 66ers (6-20). The Thunderbirds, as of late, have made their presence felt in the D-League's Southwest Division - winning 12 of their last 14.
