
Macri Recalled From Atlantic City

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the recall of Defenseman Vince Macri from the ECHL's Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. Macri, who signed an NHL contract with the Islanders this past August, has posted four goals, seven assists, 11 points and 40 penalty minutes in 23 games with Atlantic City this season.
Macri, 23, played his first professional game last March 26th in Philadelphia, assisting on the Sound Tigers' lone goal in a road loss to the Philadelphia Phantoms. He first joined the Sound Tigers on a tryout contract after posting career highs of six goals, nine assists, 15 points and 52 penalty minutes in 31 games during his senior season at Brown University last year. Macri totaled 12 goals, 21 assists, 33 points and 157 penalty minutes in 106 games during his four years at Brown.
The Sound Tigers will host the Hershey Bears tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. They will visit the Binghamton Senators this Friday at 7:05 p.m. and the Portland Pirates this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. All three games are scheduled to be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com.
