TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE ON FRIDAY
The Phantoms and Comcast SportsNet will be collecting toys for needy children throughout the Philadelphia region by teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps for their annual Toys For Tots Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring NEW, unwrapped, non-violent toys to Friday's game at the Wachovia Spectrum against the Manchester Monarchs.
SUNDAY IS TRADING CARD NIGHT
The first 2,000 fans in attendance on Sunday will receive a 2004-05 Phantoms trading card set, courtesy of Toyota. All 24 current players will be featured, including the first-ever professional cards of rookies Tony Voce, R.J. Umberger and Ben Eager.
PHANTOMS RAISE $9,300 IN HELPING HANDS AUCTION
The fifth annual Children's Miracle Network Helping Hands Auction took place on Dec. 10 and raised $9,300. The highest bid was for goaltender Neil Little ($350), while Josh Gratton and the Flyers' John LeClair each pulled in $300 apiece. Each Phantoms player, as well as several Flyers players and management, made handprints with fingerpaint on a card and signed it. Fans placed silent bids for the framed cards on the concourse through the second intermission, and seven players' cards were auctioned off live at the Red Bell Brewery following the game.
SECOND CHALK TALK TO TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY
The second Season Ticket Holder Chalk Talk will take place this Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant inside the Wachovia Spectrum. Assistant coach Kjell Samuelsson will be conducting this second Chalk Talk.
DESCHENES TO BE HONORED AT PHILLY SPORTS FANS CHOICE AWARDS
Forward Nick Deschenes will be honored on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the Philadelphia Sports Fans Choice Awards for his community work with the Phantoms during the 2003-04 season. The dinner will take place in the Liberty Ballroom at the Marriott in downtown Philadelphia, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
GRATTON ON "INSIDE THE PHANTOMS" ON TUESDAY
The next edition of "Inside the Phantoms" will be on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by David Unkle, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every other Tuesday throughout the season on WNJC (1360 AM). This week's guest will be forward and team penalty minutes leader Josh Gratton.
SEIDENBERG ON "RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" THIS WEDNESDAY
Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg will be the guest on the Phantoms' weekly radio show, "Rumble with the Phantoms," this Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every Wednesday on WNJC (1360 AM). In 25 games this season, Seidenberg has four goals and 11 assists for 15 points and 16 penalty minutes.
STEVENS ON ESPN RADIO WEDNESDAY
Phantoms head coach John Stevens will be a guest on ESPN Radio's "Philly Sports Live" with hosts Tripp Rogers and John Mozes on Wednesday, Dec. 15 during the 6:00 p.m. hour. Fans can tune in to ESPN Radio in the Philadelphia area on 920 AM.
PHANTOMS POSTGAME SHOWS THIS WEEKEND Can't get enough Phantoms action? Then stick around for The Phantoms Postgame Show at Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant after the games on Friday and Sunday. Hosted by David Unkle of the Topcat Sports Show on WNJC 1360-AM, the Phantoms Postgame Show lets you get up close and personal with your favorite Phantoms player following 24 games throughout the season. NEXT TELEVISED GAME ON DEC. 29
Comcast SportsNet will air its sixth of 10 Phantoms games this season when the Norfolk Admirals visit the Wachovia Spectrum on Wednesday, Dec. 29. Flyers radio announcer Tim Saunders will handle the play-by-play duties, while Flyers color commentator Steve Coates will provide his insight into the game. Coverage for the game begins at 7:00 p.m.
