Twenty-year-old defenceman Franklin MacDonald is the Halifax Mooseheads' Player of the Month for November, Head Coach Al MacAdam announced at the team's monthly luncheon today.
MacDonald played in all 12 of the Mooseheads' November games, totaling 12 points from four goals and eight assists, while playing at plus 2.
MacDonald began his November point's total with three assists in the Mooseheads' 6-5 shootout victory at Lewiston Nov. 4 and finished it off by recording points in each of the final four games of the month.
MacDonald began his four-game point's streak by scoring the winning goal in Halifax's 6-1 victory at Baie-Comeau Nov. 20 and ended it with his second winning goal of the month, and a first star selection, in helping the Mooseheads to a 4-1 win at P.E.I. Nov. 30.
He also won first star honors in a 4-2 home-ice win over P.E.I. Rocket Nov. 25, when his seven shots on goal resulted in one goal.
