Published on December 6, 2005 under Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Chicoutimi Sagueneens forward David Desharnais is the CHL Player of the Week.
Desharnais had three goals and eight points in two games this past week including a five point game in a 6-4 win over Drummondville. Desharnais is currently 10th in the QMJHL scoring race and a big reason why the Sagueneens are second in the QMJHL standings.
Ilia Ejov was the QMJHL's Defensive Player of the Week after finishing the week with three victories. Ejov helped the St. John's Fog Devils pick up a pair of victories over the Halifax Mooseheads and another over the Saint John Sea Dogs. In three wins, Ejov posted a .922 save percentage.
