CALGARY, AB. - The Western Hockey League has nominated Mac Carruth of the Portland Winterhawks for the CHL Goaltender of the Week Award. Carruth posted a 2-0-0-0 record this past week with one shut-out, stopping 69 of 71 shots faced for a 1.00 goals-against average and .972 save percentage. Carruth, a 19-year-old (born 1982) from Shorewood, MN, led the Winterhawks to a pair of opening round wins over the Everett Silvertips in the 2011 WHL Playoffs.
