M-Braves and Smokies Postponed on Friday Night

KODAK, TN - Due to inclement weather, Friday night's scheduled 6:00 pm CT game between the Mississippi Braves and Tennessee Smokies has been postponed. The game will be made up as part of a Saturday doubleheader at Smokies Stadium. The first of two seven-inning contests will begin at 5:00 pm CT, with the second game beginning approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

The M-Braves are 4-2 so far during the 10-game road trip and on a season-high three game winning streak.

RHP Bryse Wilson (Game 1) and RHP Touki Toussaint (Game 2) are the anticipated starting pitchers for the M-Braves with RHP Duncan Robinson (Game 1) and RHP Thomas Hatch (Game 2) opposing for the Smokies.

The M-Braves will return home to Trustmark Park on Wednesday, May 23 for a five-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The game will feature two promotions in AMR First Responders Wednesday presented by AMR (All First Responders/Emergency Response personnel, including law enforcement and firefighters, may purchase a $7 ticket in all seating areas, excluding Suite Level, when presenting ID. Excluding July 4) and Strike Out Hunger presented by the Mississippi Food Network (Fans who bring a canned food item to the Trustmark Park Box Office will receive a voucher for one $3 Field Level ticket).

The Mississippi Braves are the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Since the inaugural 2005 season, over 125 M-Braves have gone on to Major League Baseball.
