Lynx to Host Annual Go Green Game on Friday

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced its game on Friday, June 28 vs. Los Angeles will be their annual Go Green game, sponsored by Metro Transit. Throughout the game, the Lynx will be collecting old cell phones from fans as they enter Target Center. Donated phones will be given to Renovo Data Services, who will then properly recycle the phones. Cell phone collection bins will be located at Target Center entrances.
As part of Minnesota's season long commitment to go green, Metro Transit will provide ticketed fans free rides to and from games two hours before and after tip throughout the season, including Friday's Go Green game. The WNBA and Minnesota Lynx are committed to a long-term environmental plan through the implementation of sustainable business practices and procedures that decrease the league's carbon footprint and contribute to a clean, healthy environment. The official WNBA Go Green game took place during the June 25 game between the Phoenix Mercury and San Antonio Stars.
At 6-2, the Minnesota Lynx sit atop the Western Conference, a half game ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks. The top two teams in the West face off at Target Center on Friday, June 28, when the Lynx host the Sparks at 7 p.m. Lower-level tickets are still available by calling the Lynx at 612-673-8400 or by visiting LynxBasketball.com/LynxTix.
