Sparks Host Latino Celebration Night on July 6 at STAPLES Center

Los Angeles - The popular Latino Celebration Night, presented by the Southern California Ford Dealers, returns to STAPLES Center this season for one sensational evening of music, rhythm and basketball when the Sparks host the San Antonio Silver Stars on Saturday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m.

The Latino Celebration Night will feature performances by R&B and pop sensation Frankie J, with a special appearance by Baby Bash; Comedy Central Comedian Joey Vega; Latin Grammy Winner Miguelito and pop star Victoria Ortiz in special post-game performances on the Sparks homecourt.

The Brazilian Samba Dancers, Oye Brazil, and the Capoira Kids, a Brazilian martial arts group that combines elements of dance to its routines, will perform at halftime. The night will be hosted by Kiki Melendez from the movie, The Journey of a Female Comic and Showtime Network's Hot Tamales Live! The National Anthem will be sung by Angel Lopez from Son by 4.

"Latino Celebration Night is one of the most energetic games of the season as it allows the Sparks and our fans to honor Southern California's rich Latino Culture," said Sparks President Vinnie Malcolm. "In addition to an exciting basketball game, we look forward to enjoying the musical sounds and comedic performances throughout the game and postgame."
