
Lynx Terminate Layshia Clarendon's Contract

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve today announced the team has terminated guard Layshia Clarendon's hardship contract.
Clarendon first signed with Minnesota on May 30 under a hardship exception after appearing in one game with New York. The 5-9 guard has started in the last 10 of 11 contests for the Lynx and holds averages of 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists with the team.
In last night's contest against the Phoenix Mercury, Clarendon registered 12 points, five rebounds and one steal in 23:09 minutes of action.
