OTTAWA - The Ottawa Lynx beat the Syracuse Chiefs for the second straight game today, improving their record to 3-0 for the Spring.
Pitcher Zack Segovia was dominant for the Lynx, tossing five shutout innings and allowing only three hits. Tim McClaskey and Charles Weatherby combined for a shutout 6th and 7th inning. Greg Jacobs went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Chris Roberson had two hits and scored a run, batting out of the leadoff spot. Mike Costanzo and Carlos Leon had the other Lynx RBIs, while former Lynx Joey Hammond and Pedro Swann joined Leon, Jason Hill and Ryan Fleming on the hit parade.
The Ottawa Lynx will open the 2007 season, their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, in Rochester on April 6.
